You are a role model. Be a decent one.

94% of men in Scotland agree that men have a part to play in reducing sexual violence against women.

67% of men in Scotland agree that seeing more men speaking out against inappropriate behaviours against women would make them feel more confident to do the same.

That’s what recent research tells us. What does that tell you? What difference could you make?

That Guy is returning with a fresh campaign this summer, focusing on the influence that all men have on those around them and the key role they can play in shaping attitudes and behaviours to help prevent violence against women and girls (VAWG).

You might not realise it, but as a man in Scotland, you set the tone for those in your circle and beyond.

Whether you’re a brother, a cousin, a mate, a pal from work, or even just a mutual online, you’re a role model. Your actions help define the standard for others. The way you speak about women or to women, the behaviours you call out, the example you lead by.

We asked thousands of boys across Scotland who their role models are. You might be surprised to hear that alongside sporting heroes, family topped the list of the people they looked up to the most.

It’s not about being perfect. It’s about making small, positive decisions that inspire others to do the same.

Join us at TRNSMT on Friday, 19 June to discover more about the role model that you are.
